A Redeployment

Dear Friends,

Over the past two weeks, I have been very pleased to see the direction that the new Messianic Apologetics website has taken! Transitioning over to a new WordPress format has been very helpful in seeing not just new people introduced to our ministry–as we are in the ongoing process of transferring articles and FAQ entries over from the old website–but also in seeing this new website integrated into social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

As important as I know it is going to be in getting the written materials reposted to this new website over the next year, there is a growing importance of having both audio and video materials accessible. Whether you know it or not, there are tens of thousands of people subscribed to various YouTube channels, which focus on different Messianic or Hebrew Roots themes. Much to my chagrin, most of these YouTube channels definitely have sensationalistic and hype-laden teachings. I cannot stress enough how vital it is for more fair-minded, balanced, and Yeshua-focused teachings to be accessible in such a venue! After Google, the second most accessed place people look for information online, tends to be YouTube.

I have written a great deal in my ministry career, and certainly have a commitment to continue to write. Since the beginning of 2016, however, I have made recording a post for YouTube one of my significant morning disciplines. Since late Spring, I have posted our Wednesday Night Bible Study audio podcast to YouTube, and started a new Audio Archive series, re-recording some of our older Bible studies.

I really love the new WordPress format for the Messianic Apologetics website! I love it so much, that it is my intention to see that over time, just about every written teaching has some sort of video or audio teaching to go along with it–if for any other reason just to make sure that we can reach as many people as possible. While a long term goal for sure, it will require me to redeploy my energies in the short term, rescheduling some things I have planned–if for any other reason to make sure that some significant issues which require a recording to go along with them, get what they need.

At present, we are in the middle of the Israel in Future Prophecy series, intending to provide resolution to the Two-House issue. While I have not decided yet, this might be followed by a multi-part series going through the issues of ecclesiology in the Messianic movement, and the place of non-Jewish Believers in the Kingdom. Beyond this, I have already posted the following written teachings, which do need some sort of audio teaching to go along with them for sure:

To be sure, no one can ever accuse me of not having anything to do! What some of this redeployment does mean, is that for the next month or so, I am going to have to take a break from the present Wednesday Night Bible Study on 2 Corinthians (which we only have three chapters left on), as well as limit my work on my other writing assignment for Salvation on the Line (which I am ahead of schedule on).

In the long run, I absolutely want this Messianic Apologetics website to be a powerhouse of material, freely available at the point of need for those who need answers to the questions facing the people in our broad faith community. Thank you for joining with me in these endeavors, and especially for your support of our Technology Fund as we make the necessary upgrades to our office computer setup to make our outreach to you more effective!
